Bond University

Play a high-tech version of the old favourite Scissors, Paper, Hammer, Rock in 3D. Control robot vehicles with your phone and smash some eggs in experiments with Bond University students.

SBS letters and Numbers Puzzle

Learn how to solve letter and number puzzles using Excel spreadsheets. Bring a USB stick and download 2,000 free puzzles.

Evolution of Gaming

Investigate and enjoy the Evolution of Gaming from the 1970s until now with the Australian Computer Society.

TechGC and the REPRAP Machine

Design a new TechGC logo for use in the corporate world and print a 3D model using cutting-edge technology for prototyping new designs. Brought to you by Steve at Gold Coast IT consultancy, Refactor.

LEVEL TWO

Build an led Bicycle Light

Two free workshops to construct an electronic circuit for a flashing LED bike light on a printed circuit board with the Griffith School of Engineering and Griffith Lecturer, Charles Hacker. Two workshops will be held on Saturday. Places are limited to 16 per workshop.

CSIRO

On Saturday, explore the world of DNA in the DNA to the Max workshop. The workshop is suitable for 13 to 16-year-olds. On Sunday, budding sleuths use the latest technology and processes to track down criminals. Suitable for seven to 12-year-olds.

All Saints Anglican College practical technologies

Check out the racing cars powered by CO2, home-grown hover-board technology, and solar cookers that are being used to help villagers in Tanzania prepare food.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – saturday only

Learn more about our feathered, scaly and furry friends and how the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is helping them at the Currumbin Sanctuary’s Veterinary Hospital. Teddy Bears and Friends Create your very own teddy bear. Purchase a fluffy teddy bear skin, fill him up on the high tech “stuffing machine” and choose your teddy outfit.

Learn how the Gold Coast Academy of Sport integrates sports science into physical training regimes. The academy is offering simple sports science-based fitness tests. Are you up for the challenge?
