BOND UNIVERSITY

In the 20 years since its inception Bond University has established itself as the leading independent, not-for-profit, private university in Australia, producing high quality, innovative graduates.

A superb location on the Gold Coast, the lowest student to staff ratio in Australia, innovative teaching practices, outstanding graduate outcomes, as well as the collegiate atmosphere of a small campus distinguishes Bond from other universities. These factors attract high quality students who recognise that Bond will bring their ambition to life. The Bond student experience remains one of the pivotal features of the Bond difference, and continues to live on in the rear-vision view of its alumni.

ABC COAST FM

ABC Coast FM on 91.7FM has been bringing you
news, current affairs, human-interest stories and
music that matters since 1988.

The official opening of the Gold Coast was back in
1988 but it all started from humble beginnings as an
AM station (1593-4SO Gold Coast Rock!) in Surfers
Paradise in 1983.

Bob Hailstone, the State General Manager at the
time, decided to launch Coast FM as an alternative
station aimed at the youth market on the coast.
The rock ‘n’ roll format saw tunes from Midnight Oil
and Guns ‘n’ Roses being played and live concert
specials were also aired during the day before
crossing to Double J at night.

Since then the station has grown with the coastal
regions and is now the premier current affairs, music
and information leader for the coastal, Tweed and
hinterland areas.
